I run two Cyprus companies — Padabida Ltd and Scandigenic Ltd. Like every small business owner, I needed to keep proper books: receipts, invoices, quarterly VAT returns, payroll, the annual IR7, the lot. So I did what everyone does. I signed up for the apps.
Xero. QuickBooks. FreshBooks. The Cyprus-specific tools. I tried them all, and they all shared the same disease: a monthly bill that goes up every year for software that doesn’t get better, built for accountants and sales teams instead of the person who actually owns the business.
I kept paying €30–€50 a month, per company, forever — for software that costs the vendor about €0.50 a month to run. And every renewal email came with another price hike and another feature I’d never use.
So I built the bookkeeping app I always wanted. Real Cyprus accounting features — AI receipt capture, invoices, VAT returns, payroll with SI/NHIS/Cohesion, IR7 and SISnet exports — for one person running one or two companies. No team-software bloat.
The design principles are simple: your data lives in a PostgreSQL database on your Mac, backed up to your own Drive folder. The AI uses your own Anthropic API key — cheap and transparent. You buy it once and own it. No subscriptions, no investors, no MRR pressure.
It’s the same app I use to run my own books every single day. Now it’s open to a small group of other Cyprus business owners who’d rather own than rent.
